We’re delighted to announce that last season’s defenceman of the year Jordan Gregory has agreed terms and will be back as a Raider next season.
The 6’2” blue liner was impressive throughout last season after joining up with us at the start of the season. Prior to that he’d spent his entire hockey career in Bracknell moving up through the ranks to the Bees where he made over 40 EPL appearances. In his 45 games with the Raiders he scored 4 goals with 10 assists. Jordan will be 21 in September and Head Coach Jeremy Cornish believes he’s still one of the best young prospects in the league.
“ Jordan was my surprise signing of last year. I knew he was a decent player, but didn’t realise how much of an impact he would have on our team on and off the ice. He’s got great size, can make a first pass and chips in with a bit of offence. I also like the way he doesn’t hesitate to stick up for himself and his team mates. Our D is shaping up nicely and he will be a big part of that this upcoming season.”
The Raiders squad is now almost complete for the new season with two more forwards still to be announced in the coming days. The fixtures for the new season will also be announced very soon with matches due to start in the first weekend of September.
