Nick Compton returns…

Wightlink Raiders are pleased to confirm our next big signing for next season as captain Nick Compton returns for his fourth straight season. The 27 year old is a former GB junior defence man and signed for the Raiders in 2012 from EPL team Swindon Wildcats. In his time on the Island he has established himself as one of the top defencemen in the league, twice being named in ProHockey News All Star team.
Head coach Jeremy Cornish says Comps has become one of the most important members of his squad
“We are very excited to have our captain back for the upcoming season. I think he grew into the role last season and is well respected in the locker room. Nick is someone who is been with us a number of years now and with me going behind the bench and not being in the locker room as much understands what is needed out of the guys to be prepared for games.
As a player, Nick is one of the best d-men in the league and a massive contributor to our team both on offence and defence. I know Nick is excited to get started and I’m thrilled to have him back.”
