The boys have been hitting some form over the last couple weeks and I hope it’s just at the right time. As you all know, play-off time is my favourite time of year and this year is no different.
This past weekend we had two home games and won both games by large score lines. We have three games left and will battle for that second place spot In the standings right up to the end of the season.
Our club has faced some major adversity this year, both on and off the ice. Steve and Geoff did a fantastic job keeping the team going financially and the guys in our locker room never complained about not training and only playing road games for almost three months. We pulled out some big results during that time and I’ll always wonder how much further the team may have progressed without missing that training time together.
Although we’ve had an up and down season, we have played some excellent hockey at times this season. This young team has lots of potential and I believe they the have heart and skill to finish this season on a high and roll into the play-offs.
We’ve got two massive games this week and both are against Gosport. They are an ever improving team and I’m expecting two physical battles. We want the points and want to challenge Invicta for that second spot. They are coming off a run of wins and want to creep up the table as much as possible.
It would be great for everyone to get to both games this week and I know the guys would love the support.
See you Thursday,
