21 year old Bobby Streetly is the latest player to commit to the Wightlink Raiders for the new season.
The former NIHL North defenceman had a promising first season with the Raiders and has put pen to paper to return for a second season.
Before moving to the Island Bobby had played over 100 games in the NIHL North mainly for Blackburn although he did have a spell with Sutton Sting prior to joining the Raiders last year. In his 58 games with the Raiders he’s picked up 2 goals and 5 assists as well as 16 penalty minutes.
Head coach Jeremy Cornish is pleased to see another youngster commit for next season.
“Bobby is a player that immediately made a big impact on our club. He is a big guy that moves the puck extremely well. He has vastly improved his fitness this summer and he will be able to cope with the speed of our league much better. I’m excited to see the improvements he has made over the summer and I know he can’t wait to get back on the Island.”
