The Wightlink Raiders have moved to snap up one of the country’s top young prospects by agreeing terms with Danny Ingoldsby for the new season.
The Great Britain junior international forward signs from Bracknell where he spent last season splitting his time between the Bees and the Hornets. Prior to that he played EPL with Basingstoke Bison while just 16 years old. In his 25 EPL games with Bracknell Bees last season he scored 4 goals with 1 assist. Danny was 18 just last week and stands at 6’1 and 201lbs.
Head coach Jeremy Cornish is excited to have Danny on his team for the new season.
“Danny is a player who I have been interested for a couple seasons now and I’m glad we got a deal done. He will be a firm fans favourite at the arena because of his hard hitting no-nonsense style of play. He has good skill and is a player with a lot of potential and I’m hoping this season will be big for both him and the team. “
Danny becomes the latest new recruit to the Raiders ranks in what is likely to be another transitional season for the team. With Carl Graham, Simon Hobbis, Alex Barker and Richard Facey already signed elsewhere there will be another group of new faces arriving at Ryde Arena this summer.
More signings will be announced over the next week.
