Play-off time!

It’s that time of the year again, play-off time!

Play-offs are defiantly my favourite time of the year and the games are played at a much more physical pace. We will be starting this Saturday at the Ryde Arena against the Bracknell Hornets. Bracknell are a much more organised, skilled team then in years past and I think it’s going to be a very tough weekend if we want to progress to the semi-finals.

I know after a weekend off the guys are excited to get started, we have been training hard this week and want to make sure we are prepared for six tough periods of hockey. We have made great strides this season after a shaky start to the year and we should be ready.

We changed the lines about three weeks ago and now we are seeing point production through all three lines and I think that this is vital at this time of year. We now have a team that can roll three lines and score goals and play against any other teams top lines.

This time of year I will be asking all of the guys to step up their games, our team has never had a problem rising to the occasion of play-offs. We have been to four finals in five years and this season we will be looking to finally capture that trophy.

We have seen an increase in crowds these last few weeks and it would be fantastic to see the arena packed out this Saturday. You will see hockey played the way it should be and I can promise one of the most entertaining games of the season.

See you Saturday,
