It’s almost time.

Just two weeks to go now and I can’t wait to get started. We’ve had a great time back home in Canada the last couple of weeks and its been the first time I’ve been able to bring my son Dougie home for an extended period of time and I think he’s had fun. We went to a sports store last week and my mom bought Dougie a Maple Leafs hoodie and I’m sure Pricey will love that and since I’m a Canadians fan, I’m not so sure.

When I get back to England I need to order sticks, equipment and the jersey’s should be getting delivered to my house by the end of the week. When all of the kit and shirts get delivered, that’s when it hits home that the season is about to start.

We don’t have a replacement for Rose at this moment in time, I’ve spent a lot of my holiday looking and contacting players online, but he has really put us in a bad spot this late in the summer. We will continue to look as the season begins, and we have been lucky over the last couple years picking up players and I’m sure this year will be the same. We are lucky we have good players available, so I’m hoping players will step up with the added ice time they will receive at the start of the season.

I hope everyone has their season tickets ready, I think this will be the best season yet of Raiders hockey.
