The Wightlink Raiders are pleased to confirm the signing today of 24 year old forward Nathaniel Rose from Invicta Dynamos.
The former Sheffield junior player spent last season playing in Kent where he scored 5 goals and 5 assists and racked up 119 penalty minutes. Prior to signing for the Dynamos he spent a season with Sutton Sting in the NIHL North Division 2.
Player coach Jeremy Cornish says Rose is the type of player who will fit well into his Raiders team.
“The first game I saw Nat play last year in Invicta I knew that I would try and get him signed up for this season. He is the type pf player we lacked last year and I think I am the exact type of coach he needs to succeed in our league. He has great size and toughness, and I think combining that with the team toughness we already have we will be a team that will not be pushed around this season. I’m sure the fans at Ryde Arena will love his style of play and I think he will be a major asset to the team.”
Nathaniel Rose becomes the third new forward to the team following the signings of Alex Barker and Steven Osman. Another Raiders signing will be announced later this week.
