The Wightlink Raiders will get the second half of their season underway this Saturday as they return to home ice at Ryde Arena, after an extended Christmas break.
Jeremy Cornish’s men have been working hard this week to ensure they are ready for the highly skilled Invicta Dynamos to make the trip across the water. The teams have split their two league meetings so far this season with one win and eight goals each, creating the perfect backdrop for this weekends huge game.
The weekend will be shorter than expected for the Raiders as they were due to travel to Oxford on Sunday. However in an unexpected announcement this week the City Stars management revealed the clubs immediate withdrawal from the league, following an earlier coaching change and subsequent departure of a number of key players.
